Times are tight for most people these days either directly or indirectly. For those who lost their job or are required to take a pay cut the feeling is very direct. For those who have money in the stock market or own a home 2008 is looking to be a very bad year and as long as you do not sell your house or take money out of stocks the feeling is more indirect.
