It’s Time To Look For A Spot To Enjoy The Sun And A Place To Find Some Rest And Relaxation

April 24, 2009

After weeks or months of working five days a week, I get to the point where I’d really like to find some warm weather by a pool or the beach and just park myself.  In this economy, most of us are being a lot more careful about how we spend our money. It seems likely that we’ll need to put off the expensive trips for the time being.  There are a few places with hot weather, hotels with pools, the beach and a few opportunities for saving a little money.

The first place that comes to mind is good old Southern California.  There are pushing 100 miles of great accessible beaches between San Diego to Malibu—dozens of places where you can lay out your towel.  The SoCal Vacation Guru website is one place where you can learn about the beaches and find links to great resources related to the area.  I think you’ll find many tips and good advice that you won’t find at other sources.

For an international trip that is not too far away, consider a vacation to Mexico.  The Yucatan resort area around Cancun has become very popular and it is possible to find travel deals to Cancun online.  The Hotel Zone has over 100 hotels, most of which have beach frontage.  One thing that is not lacking in Cancun is warm weather.

There are travel deals to be found for warm-weather destinations throughout the
Caribbean.  There are a bunch of other resort cities in Mexico besides Cancun.  Consider also Jamaica and Playa del Carmen.  But research carefully your intended destination, not only to ensure a safe and trouble-free trip but also to learn about the area (culture, history, interesting attractions, etc.) to make the trip more fun.  Of course the internet makes this kind of research amazingly easy; what did we do before the Web came along?
